Life changing book. I’ve read it twice and will continue to read it when I waver from me and what needs to happen when I want to move forward. Thankful for feeling normal for once. Love this book, and love myself more everyday

I bought this on a whim after another 3 a.m. spiral where I was replaying conversations and second guessing every decision. The description felt a little too on the nose, so I was half expecting the usual vague self help fluff. It’s not that. The writing is straightforward and doesn’t try to sound profound. It just names the exact stuff a lot of us do the people pleasing, the attachment patterns, the constant mental reruns and then gives simple things you can actually try when your brain won’t shut up. No long lectures, no just meditate and everything will be fine. Some parts hit harder than others depending on what you’re dealing with. The sections on letting go of old regrets and setting boundaries without writing a whole essay first were the ones I kept coming back to. It’s not a miracle cure and it doesn’t pretend to be. It’s more like a calm friend who’s been through the same loop and is handing you a few tools that worked for them. If you’re tired of books that talk around the problem instead of facing it, this one is worth the read.

l isolate because I was always told I was dramatic for having emotions. I still struggle with feeling instead of bottling everything up. This book help me a lot. I will be rereading again.

Every page feels like it was written by me.I have been reading 15 pages per night before I go to bed instead of scrolling through my phone. I’m already noticing a change in my outlook on life!
